Plastic surgery is a branch of medicine concerned with restoring a bodily part's shape and function. With the aid of this expertise, many abnormalities and functional impairments can be partially or totally remedied. This method gets its name from the Greek word "plastikos," which means "suited to mould." Plastic surgery includes both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. Although a surgery can be performed for both reconstructive and aesthetic reasons, certain operations are performed only to heal and repair the functional component of the body.
